What this edition was
The Nepal Aviation Safety Campaign was held in June 2022. Sessions covered safety leadership, occurrence investigation and where safety management systems go next, with speakers from Constellation Aviation Services, the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and the World Food Programme. He was born and bred in Sydney, Australia where he has lived most of his life. In 1997, he graduated with a Bachelors in Aviation from University of Newcastle along with his Commercial Pilots License from the University’s Flying School. Later on he completed his Master’s Degree in Aviation Safety Management and commenced his Doctorate degree in the same field. During his academic career, he was a Human Factors and Crew Resource Management Lecturer. In 2000, he moved to Egypt due to the fascinating culture and history, and he later joined Petroleum Air Services as a Helicopter Pilot and shortly afterwards became their Helicopter Flight Safety Officer. He has been with them now nearly 15 years and as a Corporate Safety Manager in the last 5 years – is type rated on Bell 206, Bell 212 and 412 with nearly 4000 hours of Helicopter Experience.
